The NYCO Youth Concerto Competition is an annual event held by the North York Concert Orchestra to support the development of young artists and to showcase budding talent by providing performance opportunities with the Orchestra.
Applications close September 24, 2017.
This year’s competition will take place at Remenyi House of Music, 210 Bloor Street West, Toronto on Sunday October 22, 2017. The results will be announced on October 25, 2017.
The winners of the competition have the opportunity to perform a movement of a concerto with the Orchestra on Saturday December 9, 2017.
Eligibility
Contestants must have been born on or after July 1, 1994.
All orchestral instruments (strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, keyboard and harp) are eligible.
There are no residency or citizenship restrictions.
